PRODUCT SAFETY AND RESPONSIBLE USE
Last Updated: 07/31/2026
At Queen Tee’s Herbal Teas and Tinctures, customer safety is important to us. Herbal products can affect people differently, and “natural” does not always mean risk-free. Please read the product label, ingredient list, preparation instructions and warnings before use.
This page provides general safety information. It does not replace the directions or warnings provided with an individual product.
Not Medical Advice
Information presented on this Website—including product descriptions, traditional-use information, blogs and educational materials—is provided for general informational purposes only.
It is not intended to:
-
Diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease;
-
Replace professional medical advice;
-
Recommend a particular treatment; or
-
Substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.
Consult a physician, pharmacist or other qualified healthcare professional before using an herbal product if you have questions about whether it is appropriate for you.
Where required for dietary-supplement products:
These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Read the Product Label
Before using any Queen Tee’s product:
-
Review the complete ingredient list;
-
Follow the labeled serving or preparation instructions;
-
Observe all product-specific warnings;
-
Check the “Best By” or expiration date, when provided;
-
Confirm that the packaging and safety seal are intact; and
-
Contact us if the label is missing, damaged or difficult to read.
Do not exceed the amount stated on the label. More is not necessarily better and may increase the risk of unwanted effects.
Allergies and Sensitivities
Herbs, flowers, roots, seeds, fruits, spices, glycerin and other botanical ingredients may cause allergic reactions or sensitivities.
Do not use a product containing an ingredient to which you are allergic. Individuals with pollen, ragweed, plant-family, food, nut or spice allergies should review ingredients especially carefully.
Stop using the product immediately if you experience:
-
Rash, itching or hives;
-
Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat;
-
Wheezing or difficulty breathing;
-
Severe dizziness;
-
Persistent vomiting; or
-
Any other serious or unexpected reaction.
Call 911 immediately for difficulty breathing, severe swelling, collapse, seizure or loss of consciousness.
Medications and Medical Conditions
Herbs and botanical extracts may interact with prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, supplements or medical treatments.
Consult a healthcare professional before use if you:
-
Take prescription or over-the-counter medication;
-
Use blood thinners, blood-pressure medicine, diabetes medication, antidepressants, sedatives or immune-suppressing medication;
-
Have a heart, liver, kidney, thyroid, bleeding, seizure, autoimmune or hormone-sensitive condition;
-
Are receiving cancer treatment;
-
Have a history of serious allergic reactions;
-
Are preparing for surgery or a medical procedure; or
-
Are under continuing medical supervision.
Do not stop or change prescribed medication based on information from this Website.
Pregnancy, Breastfeeding and Fertility
Do not assume that an herb is safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Many herbs and concentrated extracts have not been adequately studied in pregnant people, nursing parents or infants.
If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding or receiving fertility treatment, consult a qualified healthcare professional before using any herbal tea, tincture, extract or botanical preparation.
Products carrying a pregnancy or breastfeeding warning should not be used contrary to that warning.
Children and Teenagers
Unless the label specifically states otherwise, Queen Tee’s products are intended for adults.
Do not give herbal tinctures, concentrated extracts or medicinal-strength herbal preparations to children without approval from a pediatrician or other qualified healthcare professional.
Keep all herbs, tinctures, droppers and packaging out of the reach of children.
Alcohol-Based Tinctures
Some Queen Tee’s tinctures may contain alcohol as an extraction and preservation ingredient. Review the ingredient statement before purchasing or using a tincture.
Consult a healthcare professional before using an alcohol-containing tincture if you:
-
Are pregnant or breastfeeding;
-
Have liver disease or another alcohol-sensitive medical condition;
-
Take medication that interacts with alcohol;
-
Are avoiding alcohol for personal, medical or recovery-related reasons; or
-
Intend to give the product to a minor.
Follow the labeled serving instructions. Keep alcohol-based tinctures tightly closed and away from excessive heat, sparks and open flames.
Do not touch the dropper directly to your mouth, hands or another surface. This helps prevent contamination of the remaining product.
Preparing Herbal Tea Safely
Follow the preparation instructions provided with the product.
When preparing tea:
-
Use clean utensils and safe drinking water;
-
Measure the herb according to the label;
-
Use caution when handling boiling or very hot water;
-
Allow the tea to cool to a safe drinking temperature;
-
Strain loose botanical material when instructed;
-
Refrigerate prepared tea promptly if saving it for later; and
-
Discard prepared tea that develops an unusual odor, appearance, mold or other sign of spoilage.
Do not smoke, inhale, vaporize or use a product in a manner not stated on its label.
Storage
Unless the product label states otherwise:
-
Store products in a cool, dry place;
-
Protect them from excessive heat, humidity and direct sunlight;
-
Keep containers tightly closed;
-
Use clean, dry utensils when handling loose herbs;
-
Avoid introducing water into dry products or tincture bottles;
-
Keep products away from children and pets; and
-
Do not transfer products into an unlabeled container.
Improper storage can shorten product life and increase the risk of contamination.
Packaging and Product Inspection
Do not use a product if:
-
The safety seal is missing or broken before first use;
-
The container is cracked, leaking, swollen or seriously damaged;
-
The product has an unexpected odor, color, texture or visible contamination;
-
The label does not match the product ordered; or
-
The product is past an applicable expiration date.

Follow all recall instructions and stop using an affected product immediately.
Customers are responsible for keeping their contact and order information accurate.
Individual Results
Each person may respond differently to an herb or botanical preparation. Previous use without difficulty does not guarantee that a future reaction will not occur.
Product reviews, testimonials and traditional-use information describe individual experiences or historical practices. They do not guarantee safety, effectiveness or particular results.
