About Rosehips
Rosehips, also called rose haws, are the fruits that develop on rose bushes after flowering. These whole dried Rosa canina fruits originate in Chile and are used in herbal teas and culinary preparations.
Flavor & Caffeine
Enjoy a gently sweet, tart infusion with a mild, pleasant aroma. Pure rosehips are naturally caffeine-free. Flavor and strength vary with the amount used and preparation method.
Traditional & Culinary Uses
Rosehips are traditionally used in herbal tea blends, fruit syrups, preserves, and cordials. Their bright, fruity flavor is delicious in both warm drinks and refreshing iced infusions.
Traditional food use does not establish that rosehips prevent or treat illness.
How to Prepare Whole Rosehips as Tea
-
Lightly crush approximately 1 tablespoon of whole dried rosehips.
-
Place in a heatproof teapot and add 8 fl oz of just-boiled water.
-
Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes, adjusting the strength to taste.
-
Strain thoroughly through a paper tea filter or clean, closely woven cloth to remove seeds and fine internal hairs from the finished drink.
-
Enjoy plain, sweeten to taste, or cool and serve over ice.
Preparation note: These instructions are a culinary starting point for lightly broken whole fruit, not a medicinal dose. Whole rosehips may extract more slowly than cut, seedless rosehips. Follow any directions supplied with your package.

A Note About Vitamin C
Rosehips naturally contain vitamin C, but drying, storage, and brewing affect the amount retained. Vitamin C content has not been verified for this product or a prepared cup. Rosehip tea should not be treated as a measured vitamin C supplement.
Storage & Precautions
Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Avoid if allergic to rosehips. Consult a healthcare professional before use if pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a medical condition. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs.
